First thing first. Contact Us so we can set up a free, phone consultation. This will help us understand more about your scent marketing goals.
We do require proof that you are an established business in your state in order to participate in our wholesale services. Please be prepared to share your state issued business license, website, social handles and/or business address.
This is one of our favorite questions! We want you to build a scent marketing program and test the market without being financially crippled, that is why we have various programs.
The minimum order is 48 per scent.
With an order of 96 units, we offer a program minimum of 24 per scent. This is a great program to test the market!
Reorders and deeper discounts start at 144 candles with a minimum of 48 per fragrance.
We want to be your long term scent partner so we want to make it fun and easy to launch a custom scent program.
The development time is guided by your specific fragrance and packaging requirements. The container, packaging and fragrance program selected will determine the launch time. That said, we always work hard to meet design needs and deadlines.
Initial costs are determined by the requirements and desires of your specific needs. Scent Marketing Studio offers stock packaging options in the Wick Starter program to allow our clients to launch will small costs.
Each new program will be billed nominal set up costs for fragrance testing, wick tests, label set up and other activities related to your project. We are happy to discuss the set up fees related to your specific job.
Clients are required to pay for all non-stock packaging materials prior to order placement. You, the client, will own those materials and you will be billed for candle production at the time of order processing.
Every order we produce is unique to your specifications and/or brand, therefore orders are billed at time of order placement. Shipping costs are billed at time of shipment.

Curated Collection: We have an extensive archive of fragrances which have been created as special blends in house or by our network of trained perfumers.
Custom Blends: The Curated Collection can be blended to create unique custom fragrances. We love to see what clients come up with! There is a one time fee of $195 to create a new blend.
Fragrance Match*: Have a fragrance you want to match? We can help you with that. The cost for fragrance matching is $195 for one fragrance or $150 each for two or more. The price includes one, 8 oz candle sample of each fragrance matched and up to one adjustment if necessary.
Fragrance Ownership: All fragrances in The Curated Collection are available for all clients to use. We do not offer exclusivity within this collection, however we encourage all clients to change the names of the fragrances in order to present them as a unique offering.
Custom blended or created fragrances are only ordered for the client who created the scent. Clients' custom fragrances are not added to The Curated Collection.
*Fragrance analysis is a matching process that vaporizes the target scent in order to determine the compounds/raw materials required to recreate the fragrance. The analysis process will accurately determine the raw materials required to produce the scent. However, it is important to note every human interprets scent differently. Therefore, while matches are successfully made based on compound identification, they are not guaranteed due to individual scent interpretation. Fragrances matched for a single client may not be a unique match request; it is possible for multiple clients to make requests for the same fragrance match.
Fragrance can not be registered with the Patent or Trademark Offices of the United States government, so for us to say no one else will copy your fragrance is misleading. We know that your scent is very important to you - it's the smell of your brand! If you create a custom blend with us, it will not be available to other clients.
Fragrances in our archive are available to all of our clients, so it is possible that another client will use the same fragrance. The Curated Collection is a mix of fragrances directly from our fragrance house partners and blends we have created. We have no way of guaranteeing that another company will not use a fragrance made by our fragrance suppliers. All of our in-house blends are available to all clients.
We encourage every client to give their fragrance a unique name. Research has shown that packaging and presentation are extremely persuasive in presenting a new and unique experience.
Custom packaging components, i.e., non-stock raw materials ordered for a client program can be delivered to our warehouse. We will store those materials for a minimal pallet charge of $35 per month per pallet. Client materials will be combined and stored on a single pallet when possible.
We are not a long-term warehousing facility. If client materials are not being used in regular production, we will require the client to pick up those items or storage fees may increase based on items being stored.
We offer fulfillment services for a pre-order program or short-sale-cycle programs when product orders will be shipped on a specific date or within a defined short date range. We do not offer fulfillment for ongoing ecommerce or wholesale programs.
We pack orders for local and carrier delivery based on the needs of each client. We are always happy to ship your entire order to your preferred location.
We are happy to work with client provided fragrance and packaging. All development costs still apply to test and approve fragrance loads, wick testing and any other testing deemed necessary for a successful launch.
